About Lino's

History

Lino's Restaurant has been established since 1983 and enjoys a regular and discerning clientele.
It is located in the small coastal town of Hoylake situated on the very tip of the Wirral Peninsula and has become renowned for its extremely high standards of service and cuisine.

Lino was born near Genoa in Italy. He first moved to UK whilst undertaking a scholarship when he met his wife, Barbara and since then he has worked in many prestigious restaurants throughout the North West. He was soon appointed Manager of the Cottage Loaf in Thurstaston, once one of Wirral’s finest restaurants and here they raised their family until 1983.

In 1983 Lino & Barbara decided to embark on their own venture in the form of Lino’s Restaurant, where they were accompanied by their son Enrico who has since helped to develop the business and menus, and has now taken over the reigns.

Inside the restaurant

The truly continental flavour of the menu comes from Chef / Proprietor, Enrico Galantinis’ Italian background and his travels throughout France, Switzerland and Italy, together with the 2nd Chef, Dave Barclays’ wealth of experience in many top hotels and restaurants throughout the North West. The combination of traditional high quality cuisine and modern presentation has proved very successful.
